More sourcing employment eye to pioneer in Davao City
DAVAO CITY, July 26 (PNA) — More employment opportunities will be available in the coming days in Davao City with the opening of a business process outsourcing (BPO) company focused on new direction called impact sourcing, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Davao vice-president Bert Barriga said.
Barriga explained that impact sourcing refers to non-voice focusing specifically on data entry and planning. “This is a new direction which will pioneer in Davao City,”he said.
Barriga said the employment will normally target professionals, but it would also cater to undergraduates. The company which will be launching by next week will be offering about 900 job vacancies in the first four months. They will be partnering with internet cafes and small-sized call centers and even those in far flung areas. A small-size call center is offering about 100 seats.
The BPO will also cater to service delivery centers. Basically, it is targeting clients from the U.S. and Australia, Barriga said.
Barriga however said the BPO investment is specifically focusing on advocacy for non-professionals, though it will also accept professional workers. (PNA)
